Disney's Animal Kingdom Attractions
Disney’s Animal Kingdom is a fun filled park that finds
its attractions focusing on the Animal Kingdom. While visiting the park kids and
adults alike will love the thousands and thousands of animals which can be found
throughout the park. Animal Kingdom is the type of place that your family will remember
for years to come, they can enjoy 3D films, Safaris through the plains, live shows,
and even a freighting ride through time to the time of the Dinosaurs. Animal Kingdom
has a little of everything is great for the whole family or just a couples day out.
Finding Nemo - The Musical Finding Nemo has been an epidemic film for children.
Its hard to find a child today that hasn’t see the movie. Disney has remade the
exciting movie into a LIVE Broadway style puppet show. It’s a must see show for
all ages and a added bonus is the theater is indoors with A.C. The Show follows
the storyline of the original move but uses larger then life puppets to act it out.
Some of the puppets are even as large as a car. The Musical uses the latest sound
and lighting technology to make the experience unforgettable.
Kilimanjaro Safaris -- Climb aboard your open-sided safari vehicle for an exciting expedition
for the entire family. Animals from Africa freely roam through acres of savannah,
rivers and rocky hills. Look out for giraffes, hippos, elephants, rhinos, lions
and many others. The Kilimanjaro Safaris is unique experience each time as animals
can walk up to the side of your truck and be just a few feet from you.
DINOSAUR -- Take a
wild and thrill ride back to the Cretaceous era when mammoth dinosaurs still roamed
the planet, and trees were taller the skyscrapers. This ride starts with a simple
visit to the Dino Institute Museum but quickly gets out of control as the doctor
with a crazy plan of time travel volunteers you could his mission. This is an exciting
ride with quick turns and lots of surprises. When you head back in time watch out
for the monstrous carnivores and be sure to get out before the Meteor the wiped
out the dinosaurs hits earth.
Disney loves their
musical and the Festival of the Lion King is another one of a kind live show. The
30 minutes Broadway style production is in a state of the art air-conditioned theater.
The Festival is based off of the hit Disney animated film The Lion King. The musical
is a cross between a tribal celebration and a rain dance with exciting colorful
customs, giant puppets, and don’t forget Simba, Pumbaa, Mufasa and other Lion King
favorites. This musical is great for the whole family as it is interactive and encourages
kids of all ages to dances and sing along.
It's Tough to be a Bug!
-- See the world through a bug's eyes as you peek into the hilarious and dazzling
3-D world of amazing and amusing insects. Based on the popular Bug’s life Disney
movie this short 8-minute 3D film will keep you entertained and focused on the world
around you. With special 3D glasses it lets you see as a bug would. During the show
watch out because as the show starts to take a turn for the worse you may experience
you chair moving and spiders climbing around under your chair. Just watch out because
if you step on one of Flik’s cousins he may come after you.
Kali River Rapids --
There is nothing more refreshing on a hot summer day then a little bit of water.
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom you will be able to enjoy a nice peaceful river ride
for a short while before it turns south. The water begins to get choppy and passengers
find themselves going under and over waterfalls. This ride is not for those who
are allergic or afraid of water because it is almost contain that you will get wet
if not soaked. Kali River Rapids will certainly cool you off on a summer day maybe
not with a little but with a few hundred thousand gallons.
Pangani Forest Exploration Trail -- Pangani stands for place of enchantment and this portion of the Animal
Kingdom part fits the description well. The exploration trail is a lot like a Zoo,
you can travel at our own pace and enjoy the animals, as you would like. The exploration
trail is filled with hundreds of animals that are not native to the US and makes
an exciting time for the whole family.
Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden
Mountain -- The newest addition to Disney’s Animal Kingdom
and perhaps the only ride not suitable
for all ages. Expedition Everest is a full-scale roller coaster that zips around
the mountaintops. This ride gives you the best sight in all of the Animal Kingdom
with full panoramic views of not only Animal Kingdom but of the entire Orlando,
FL area. Everest is a must ride for everyone 44 inches and up.
The Tree of Life There
are only so many 14-story trees in the world and one of them is in the center of
Disney’s Animal Kingdom. At 50-feet wide this is the largest tree that I have ever
seen. If you are at the park be sure to get up and close to the tree as the bark
is carved into the shapes of 325 different animals. The Tree of Life is the center
Piece of Disney’s Animal Kingdom and can be see from miles around. When you venture
into the root system of the giant tree be sure to find the “It’s Tough to be a Bug!”
theater and get out of the sun for the short 8 minute 3D film.
